Manchester Mind believes that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and that we all have a part to play in that. We do this by providing a range of services to people living in Manchester and ensuring we employ people who share our values and beliefs.
Our purpose is to create a space where mental health comes first.
We value the commitment of our staff and volunteers who work hard to ensure our services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved.
We have been delivering services in the city since 1989 (previously as HARP), initially focusing on people living in Hulme, but over the years we have extended our services to meet the needs of people citywide. In 2011, we became one of over 100 Local Mind Associations, as we affiliated to national Mind.
Despite this, we remain an independent charity, governed by our own trustees.
Manchester Mind is striving to be an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. Manchester Mind sees it as a positive advantage if you have experience of mental health issues and/or have used mental health services, or had experience of volunteering. We are a Living Wage Employer.
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills and to grow in confidence, as well as it being a way to help others. We believe that everyone has value and something to offer. We couldn't do what we do without our wonderful volunteers!
